FI Tosiaan, täällä ollaan joululomalla! Koskas siellä Suomessa on loma? :D Tänään oli virallisesti viiminen koulupäivä, mutta mun loma alkoi jo viikko sitten maanantaina enkun kokeen jälkeen (oli muuten ihan älyttömän helppo). Lomaa kestää about 2,5kk. Toivottavasti joku kertoo mulle, koska tarvii mennä takasin kouluun, koska mulla ei oo ikinä aavistustakaan täällä mistään päivämääristä. Enkunkokeistakin kuulen aina pari päivää ennempää, kun joku sattuu mainitsemaan jotain aiheesta. Eipä haittaa, koska täällä ei tarvitse lukea kokeisiin. Huvin vuoksi koitin joskus tehdä taidehistorian kokeen ja sain mahtavat 2 pistettä. En ollut edes huonoin, joku nimeltä mainitsematon sai 1 pisteen :')
Tosi vähän on tullut otettua kuvia viimeisimmistä tapahtumista, mutta kyllä jotain ladattavaa löytyi vuosittain järjestettävästä vaihtareiden kokoontumisesta. Tänä vuonna noin 300-400 vaihtaria saapui tänne Pachucaan 4 päiväksi (15.-18.11.). Yhteensä Meksikossa on vaihtareita ehkä 500, mutta kaikki ei tullut Pachucaan, koska muille piireille matkasta piti maksaa. Vaihtarit yöpyi eri host-perheissä, ja mun perhe hostasi Oonan ja Mendyn (Belgia, joka muuten puhui ihan älyttömän hyvää espanjaa.. Ei, en ole kateellinen :D)
I päivä - Kaikista otettiin iso ryhmäkuva. Sen jälkeen kokoonnuttiin auditorioon, jossa oli tylsiä puheita ja ihan liian monta meksikolaista tanssinumeroa. Suomalaisia oli Pachucassa 6 ja oli kyllä tosi outoa päästä puhumaan kaunista äidinkieltämme. Katsoin Gleen 4-kauden ekan jakson .. Te amo, México!!! Glee está aquí más rápido que en Finlandia <3
II päivä - Mentiin jalkapalloyliopistoon, ja tarkoitus oli kai tehdäkin jotakin, mutta itse päädyin vaan vaihtelemaan pinssejä ja polttamaan ihoani auringossa. Joskus iltapäivällä mentiin jalkapallonmuseoon, joka on valtava jalkapallo. Katsottiin elokuva Etelä-Afrikan 2010 MM-kisoista ja harhailtiin ympäri museota. Myöhemmin illalla oli Gaala/kykykilpailu. Pachucan vaihtarit esitti tanssin (lauluna perinteinen meksikolainen Las Adelitas) ja puheen. Yksi korealaispoika soitti muutaman kappaleen pianolla aivan upeasti.. Terve menoa vaan Korea's got Talents:iin!
III päivä - Aamulla lippuparaati Pachucan keskustan läpi. Itse istuin vaan auton lavalla pitämässä Rotary-logoa Nadian (Indonesia) ja Keilyn (Eesti) kanssa. Voi pientä indonesialaista, oli unohtanut lippunsa kotiin. Hyvä juttu oli, että Puolan lippu on väärinpäin on Indonesian lippu. Sitten mentiin busseilla Santa Maria Reglaan, joka on (luullakseni) luostari 1500-luvulta aika kaukana Pachucasta vuorilla. Siellä oli yllättävän lämmin (yleensä kun menen vuorille, niin tulee ihan semmoinen olo kuin olisi Suomessa). Syötiin keski-aikainen lounas ... Rotary-lounaat ei ikinä sisällä mitään kovin hyvää kasvissyöjälle. Oli keskiaikaista musiikkia ja tanssia. Myöhemmin mentiin Real del Monteen taideyliopistolle. Ei mitään aavistustakaan mitä siellä olisi pitänyt tehdä, päädyin kuuntelemaan korealaispojan pianonsoittoa (en ymmärrä, miten joku voi liikuttaa sormia niin nopeasti ja silti osua oikeisiin koskettimiin).. Ja myöhemmin soitin pianoa toisessa huoneessa astetta huonompien pianonsoittajien kanssa. Ihmiset oli tosi jäässä ja väsyneitä, siispä kaikki vaan lattialle patterin viereen (eka kerta kun näin patterin Meksikossa).
IV päivä - Tarkoitus oli mennä Teotihuacaniin katsomaan pyramideja, mutta host-äiti kysyi, jos haluan mennä Javierin (host-äidin miesystävä) synttärilounaalle Actopaniin (pieni kylä [lue: Porin verran asukkaita], noin 30 min päässä Pachucasta. Se on myös matalemmalla, eli siellä on lämpimämpi kuin Pachucassa :) Vietiin Oona ja Mendy busseille (,joiden oli tarkoitus lähteä klo 8, mutta kun Meksikossa ollaan, niin suurin osa ihmisistä oli paikalla klo 9). Teotihuacaniin en siis mennyt, koska olin siellä aiemmin suomalais- (ja virolais-) vaihtareiden kanssa. Lounaalla oli tosi kivaa, lähdettiin kotiin jälkeen 21 .. Sain taas kerran kertoa kaikkea kivaa Suomesta ja opettaa erittäin kauniita sanoja. Meksikolaiset eivät muuten osaa sanoa "kylpypyyhe", koska ilmeisesti espanjassa ei ole y-äännettä.
Viimiset kuvat laitoin eiliseltä aamupalalta ihan huvin vuoksi. Syötiin Red Wings Stationilla (taas yksi hyvä kasvisruokapaikka..) Alfredon, Lauran, Copcan, Rodrigon ja Matiaksen kanssa. Onneks menusta löytyi myös pannukakkuja - muuuuy sabrosos!

EN Here I am on vacations! When you've got your vacations? Today was officially the last school day, but my vacations started a week before on Monday after the English exam (which was real easy). The vacations lasts about 2,5 months. I hope that someone tells me when I gotta go back to school because here I've got no idea what is happening and when. I always hear about the English exams a few days before when someone happens to mention it. Well it doesn't bother me because I don't have to read for the exams. Once I tried to do the art history exam I got 2 points. I wasn't even the worst, someone in my class got 1 point :')
I haven't been taking so many pictures about the latest events but I found something to download. This year about 300-400 exchange students came here to Pachuca for 4 days (15th-18th of Nov). Altogether there's maybe 500 exchange students in Mexico (but all of them didn't come to Pachuca because people in the other districts than mine had to pay for it). The exchange stydents stayed in different host-families and my family hosted Oona (Finland) and Mendy (Belgium). By the way, the Belgian girl spoke Spanish so freakishly well!! .. No, I'm not jealous :D
1st day - They took a group picture of all of us. After that we went to the auditorium - boring speeches and far too many Mexican dances. There was 6 Finns in Pachuca and it was so weird to get to speak our 'beautiful' native language. In the late evening I wathced the 1st episode, season 4, of Glee .. Te amo, México!!! Glee está aquí más rápido que en Finlandia <3
2nd day - We visited the soccer university. I guess we were supposed to actually do something but I ended up to change pins and burn my skin in the sun (everyone ended up to look like tomatoes that day). In the afternoon we went to the soccer museum which is a huge football. We saw a movie about the soccer championship in South-Africa 2010 and after that wandered around the museum. Later in the evening we had a gala/talent competition. Pachuca exchange students performed a dance (the song was a traditional Mexican 'Las Adelitas') and a speech. A boy from Korea played few piano songs and all I can say is see you in Korea's got talents!
3rd day - In the morning we had a flag parade through the center of Pachuca. Well, other students were walking with their flags and some of them were cycling but me, Nadia (Indonesia) and Keily (Estonia) were sitting in a car, waving our flags and Rotary logos. Poor Indonesian, she'd forgot her flag home. But the good thing was that the flag of Poland is upside down the flag of Indonesia! After that we went to Santa Maria Regla by buses. I guess that place used to be a convent in 16th century, but I'm not sure. It was surprisingly warm up there (because usually when I visit the mountains I get a feeling like I'd be in Finland - really cold). We had a middle-aged meal as a lunch - half of a turkey, potato and a bread ... Rotary meals never contain anything too good for a vegetarian. Also we had great middle-aged music and dance. Later we went to Real del Monte to the art university. I still don't know what we were supposed to do there but I ended up listening the piano playing of the Korean boy (seriously, who can move their fingers so fast and still manage to hit the keys?) .. And later I joined the other not that brilliant piano players in the other room. Everyone was so frozen and tired and the best solution to that was lying on the floor near the heater (that was the first time I ever saw a heater in Mexico).
4th day - I was supposed to go to see the pyramids in Teotihuacan but my host-mom asked if I wanted to go with them to Actopan to Javier's (host-mom's boyfriend) birthday lunch. Actopan is about 30 minutes to i-don't-know-which-way and people say it's a cute, small village (same amount habitants as in my city in Finland..) It's also lower so it's warmer than Pachuca :) We took Oona and Mendy to the buses. They were supposed to leave 8am but come on, we're in Mexico, most of the people were there 9am. So, I didn't go to Teotihuacan because I already went there with Finnish and Estonian exchange students when we arrived to Mexico. I had a lot of fun in the lunch, we left home after 9pm .. Once again I got to tell all funny things about Finland teach them rather beautiful Finnish words.
The last pictures are from the break-fast yesterday. Me, Alfredo, Laura, Copca, Rodrigo and Matias went to Red Station Wings (once again, a brilliant place for a vegetarian). Thank goodness they had pancakes - muy sabrosos - in the menu!

Täytteenä oli panela-juustoa (nam!!!) ja tosissa jotain sisäelimiä - I asked host-mom the name of these what-ever-they-are twice, but already forgot it. The filling was either panela cheese (yumm!!) or some sort of visceral
